The Political Section is responsible for tracking significant political trends in Lesotho, while also following regional political trends and human rights issues as well as maintaining close and constant liaison with the highest levels of Lesotho’s military to designate and administer courses given in Lesotho.
The Economic/Commercial Section of the U.S. Embassy represents American economic policy interests in Lesotho, including the continuing economic development of the mountain kingdom, and advises mission leadership and the U.S. Government on economic and labor issues in Lesotho.
The Special Projects Office is responsible for the award and management of grants offered by U.S. Embassy Maseru through different funding sources.
